I've tried to run the Sun Java plugin in both Iceweasel and Firefox on Squeeze without any success. The error I get from the Sun test page
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp?detect=jre&try=1
in the Java console is as follows. Does anybody know how to fix this? or what is wrong? some incompatible library, maybe??

I think you might be seeing this:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=560044

This same bug broke the Java applets on my Procurve switches too. Using the fix in the initial bug report fixed it for me.

Yes! You are right. The fix worked for me too. Thanks, James, for your
quick and helpful response.
