From: MJMIII on 30 Jan 2010 06:52 Thanks Brian. I didn't think this would be such a nightmare. -- "Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you." From: Brian K on 30 Jan 2010 08:48 MJMIII, I'll help out but it will be a big project if you aren't familiar with BootIt NG. There are instructional videos at.... http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/howto/index.htm The first stage is installing BootIt NG and setting up two boot items. Then you would separate the OS and make sure each OS boots on its own while the other is hidden. Then resize your Vista partition to 100 GB. Next, create images of both OS. Delete the OS partitions on both HDs. Restore your images to unallocated space and resize the partitions if necessary. Update the two boot items in BootIt NG. That should be it! As an alternative, you could have both OS on the 600 GB HD or both on the larger HD. Your choice.

Your choice. Lets say I wanted to try the above and split the 600GB in half. How tough is that? -- "Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you."

It should take less than a minute. You would then restore your Win7 image into the 300 GB (roughly) of unallocated space.
