From: Mint on 30 Apr 2010 17:45 I set my System Restore size to 1 percent of my hard drive. But when I go back and check it's size, it's back to Windows default of 12 %. This behavior adds a lot of time to my defrag program because it's moving all those unneeded system restore points. Is this a bug or can it be fixed? Thanks.
From: LD5SZRA on 30 Apr 2010 18:15 Do you actually need to have system restore set on your system? I haven't used it AT ALL since I bought my dad bought me my own first PC and Laptop in 2001 (I was 10) with Windows XP pre-installed! It is not what MVPs make out to be because it doesn't actually do anything special to your system. If I were you, I would disable it and save 12% of HD space. hth Mint wrote: > > I set my System Restore size to 1 percent of my hard drive. > > But when I go back and check it's size, it's back to Windows default > of 12 %. > > This behavior adds a lot of time to my defrag program because it's > moving all those unneeded system restore points. > > Is this a bug or can it be fixed? > > Thanks. -- THE INFORMATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Especially since you're a college plebe.
