According to the changes file, the code supported it up to 8.4, though I don't know to what extent it worked. You're unlikely to get us to resurrect support in the 8.5 or 8.6 lines. :-) You'll probably need to build from source, though the code we've got remains up on Tcl's SourceForge download area. I know nothing about building on Mac OS 9. > The link to Steffan in .AU is dead so I wonder if anyone knows > where to obtain the software. He works for Apple now. Donal.

If you build it yourself, you're probably going to have to use CodeWarrior, as gcc didn't support the old MacOS. Remember, too, that this architecture has been fundamentally unsupported for a decade. --Kevin -- Kevin Walzer Code by Kevin http://www.codebykevin.com

If I run tcl shell/console that runs fine, but anything under Tk causes the MacOS 9 screen to freeze up and only the mouse pointer will move. I just wanted to check out some tk applications under OS 9 for old times sake. It is amazing that some people bought a $1,200 computer ten years ago, ran it a few weeks, then boxed it in the attic for ten years forgetting about it until they moved. -- Best Regards, Keith http://home.comcast.net/~kilowattradio/ Tired of Google Groups?
