From: Kirk Selves Kirk on 21 Jul 2006 14:45 Has anyone found a way to get these to work. (I'm working with Dell AIO 924 and 964) I tried installing the driver both through server properties under printers, and the dell software package. Dell support wont deal with this. Does anyone know if Dell printers are supported by TS? I can get it to list the printer, and sometimes the spooler will even send the job, but it wont print on the client side. Also get a ton of Dell software communication errors, even when i only installed the driver. Other times it keeps asking me to reboot the server...after i reboot the server it still asks me to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I started to look into print management software, but really dont want to go this route. I currently removed all Dell software, and the next time a client connects, im going to run the printer redirection wizard and have the dell driver reference a lexmark driver...that should be interesting. Please Help.
From: Jeff Pitsch on 21 Jul 2006 18:00 All in One printers are pretty much not supported in TS no matter the vendor. Your best bet is to use driver remapping to map to a print driver off the windows CD. Jeff Pitsch Microsoft MVP - Terminal Server Forums not enough? From: Gregg Hill on 22 Jul 2006 20:39 Kirk, I have had no problems getting HP all-in-one printers to work, but the Dell ones refuse to work no matter what I tried. No amount of printer mapping, Dell drivers, Lexmark drivers (they make the Dell AIO), or mapping to various HP drivers ever succeeded for me. I gave up and told them to buy an HP.
