From: Sherry.Sparks on 31 Jan 2010 08:50 My application has a library of templates used to generate reports . Some of them stay 'attached' to the reports generated with them; others do not. I'm finding the reports that have 'Normal' template attached open much faster (3 seconds versus 28 seconds) than the reports with the actual original template attached. How can I control this behavior? I want the documents to just show 'Normal' template attached.
From: Stefan Blom on 31 Jan 2010 09:05 Well, you can manually choose the attached template in the Templates and Add-Ins dialog box. To display the dialog box: - In Word 2007, the quickest way is to click the Document Template button on the Developer tab. (If you cannot see the Developer tab, select "Show Developer tab in the Ribbon" in the Popular category of Office button | Word Options.) - In Word 2003, click Tools | Templates and Add-Ins. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Sherry.Sparks(a)hotmail.com" <Sherry.Sparks(a)hotmail.com@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5B09773D-6192-4814-AE47-F8929D8CA13B(a)microsoft.com... > My application has a library of templates used to generate reports . > Some > of them stay 'attached' to the reports generated with them; others do not. > I'm finding the reports that have 'Normal' template attached open much > faster > (3 seconds versus 28 seconds) than the reports with the actual original > template attached.
