From: un1c0rn on 6 Apr 2010 22:13 Hello Gurus, Currently I am having an issue with logins and profiles as per details below. Server/Network Configuration Details: 1 X Windows Server 2008 Std FE 64bit (DC) 2 X Windows Server 2008 Ent 32bit Terminal Servers User Profiles are Roaming and exist in: \\SBSERVER\Profiles on the Domain Controller and C:\Users\ on the Terminal Servers. Approx 50 users. Problem Description Error messages when logging in the terminal servers: Your roaming profile is not synchronized correctly with the server. Windows will load your previously-saved local profile instead. See the previous events for details. After error this computer cant connect to the remote computer, try connecting again, if it occurs try contacting the remote server Getting 1509 and 1540 errors in the application event log when logging into the terminal server as a user. The clients can login and sometimes it freezes, otherwise they are unable to login at all, the clients have to wait for a period of about 15min before they're able to attempt to login again. Profiles have been deleted and recreated, and issue seems like its resolved and then same problem eventually returns. Checked permissions in \\SBSERVER\Profiles (on DC) & C:\Users\ (on both the Terminal Servers) and users have the permissions to write/delete files/folders, etc. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Cheers ============= Hi, Create a new test user in a new test OU and make sure that no policy is applied on that OU. Also, capture the Userenv logging and send us the output. From: Paul Bergson [MVP-DS] on 7 Apr 2010 08:19 This is not the TS NewsGroup. Check the path of your profile and verify that your users have read/write rights to the location. I have seen this fail quite often because the path of the profile is unreachable by the logging on user. -- Paul Bergson MVP - Directory Services MCITP - Enterprise Administrator MCTS, MCT, MCSE, MCSA, MCP, Security +, BS CSci 2008, Vista, 2003, 2000 (Early Achiever), NT4 Microsoft's Thrive IT Pro of the Month - June 2009 http://www.pbbergs.com Please no e-mails, any questions should be posted in the NewGroups.
