From: Basil Jet on 25 May 2010 08:13 I have hundreds of .txt files that I need to convert to mp3 files for revision purposes. I was very happy with Alive Text To Speech on the PC, but they seem not to do a Mac version. Can anyone recommend a spy-free Mac alternative, preferably free? Thanks. Alternatively, since speed is not really an issue, how successful are Windows emulators?

There is a good app called Ghostreader http://www.convenienceware.com/ghostreader.php The other suggestion of using Textedit is fine, if you're not wanting to have flexibility over the reading. Ghostreader does have rewind/fastforward controls. Best -James-

I need to end up with mp3 CDs I can listen to in the car.
