This problem appeared last week when "net start w3svc" returns error:

A system error has ocurred.

System error 6 has occurred.

The handle is invalid.

IIS 6.0 is running on a Windows XP x64 /w 8 GB RAM (an additional 4 GB of
RAM was added a week before and everything was working just fine with the 8
GB installed), and the first event logged near midnight when no one was
using IIS; and problem has persisted ever since.

Just wondering possible options, and if large memory on box may be
preventing w3svc from starting?

Any help would be great
