The Ledge of Allegience

Allegiance in adaption for the mount of mouths.
Glossed guides for them that see the surety of soul.
Lights leaping naked into waters of our childhood;
Now dammed by the world that wants our waves.
Speaking spirits recalling all the dreams they told.
Dolls, dogs, trees and bugs; and assorted action figures;
Never telling no, or spitting in our streams of wants and wishes.
We all wash up on pebbled coasts, each stone a reluctant witness.
Of why not's and wasted imaginary friends that taught you how to
wonder.
Discoveries of burning goals and the bringing back of babes embedded.
Laughing we are left thirsty for the utter decadence of childhood.
While chants the chorus of little lovers, "what have we become?".
