From: ronsgto on 15 Feb 2006 23:40 I know this was touched on but it does not cover my situation exactly. I have a Dell TV tuner made by Emuzed Angle USB TV tuner. Very little documentation from Dell or anyone. Have a Sharp Camcorder WD450u Pluged into the Svideo port and can't get anything out of it. In Windows Movie Maker click on capture and get message "The Video Device is Currently in Use close any other device that is in use and try again" Well there is nothing else in use. Even using my Kodak Digital Camera via firewire it still says same thing. For Movie Maker to work do I have to use Firewire? Shouldn'nt I be able to capture or atleast see the video on my laptop using Svideo. I see no way to chose Svideo. That's the same way when using MMC 2005 which is loaded on my laptop. Can only see TV but nothing from the Camcorder. Is there a third pary program that will work with Angle USB TV tuner. Sorry for the long post but any help would be greatly appreciated.
From: Graham Hughes on 16 Feb 2006 11:00 MM is only designed to work with firewire, very few get analogue working. Did your tuner not come with any software of it's own? -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "ronsgto" <ronsgto(a)sbcglobal.net> wrote in message news:1140064822.034277.94080(a)o13g2000cwo.googlegroups.com... >I know this was touched on but it does not cover my situation exactly. > I have a Dell TV tuner made by Emuzed Angle USB TV tuner. From: ronsgto on 16 Feb 2006 21:21 Thanks Graham for your responce. I have the same problem if I attatch my Digital Camera with my firewire cable. MMC says device currently in use. There are no devices attatched I can disconect the Angel USB TV tuner and still does not recognize my device. Should I be able to view pictures from my camera with MMC? I can view pictures in Mycomputer so the camera is recognized. Thanks Ron L

Transfer still pictures yo your pc? -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "ronsgto" <ronsgto(a)sbcglobal.net> wrote in message news:1140142915.425519.123640(a)g14g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... > Thanks Graham for your responce. I am trying to do both. There are work arounds but I don't know why Ican't get Movie Maker to pull pictures from my Digital Camera using firewire. I understand the problem with the Video Camera I need to get a firewire cable for that and see. Now Movie Maker just says it dont detect any devices. Ron L |
