The i in the complex plane is equal to one and then the coefficient
does the work. When you move your i around in the complex plane it
does the same thing as One would combined with the coefficient.
Imaginary numbers are i equal to one. And that means is they really
are only your imagination. So stop moving your i around. i is not a
quantitiy and doesn't belong in math.

But its perfectly OK to use 'j' (I'm an EE).
