I think this is a product limitation in 2005 that this kind of job cannot be created unless it is created by wizard since there are some related information to be referenced when executing the job. I do understand your concerns on this behavior since you have many databases and I think it's good idea to be able to do this as SQL 2000. Please rest assured this issue is routed to the product team.
