From: Sean Crosby on 7 Jul 2010 06:00 Which version of Samba are you using? I used to run a samba 3.2 domain, which worked fine until Windows7 came along - when I tried accessing shares using a Windows7 client, I received identical errors to you. Upgrading Samba to 3.4 and above fixed it (with the same config file). If you need to upgrade Samba on a RHEL5 box, I suggest using the Sernet repo - http://ftp.sernet.de/pub/samba/ Sean On Wed, Jul 7, 2010 at 5:51 PM, ****@ppu <appaji04cn002(a)gmail.com> wrote: > Hi all, > > i have installed samba in RHEL 5 with likewise backend authentication . > everything is working but am unable to access samba shares from windows 7 > and vista machines .
