Earlier this evening I went to that URL you gave below, did a copy to my
HD and will have a more detailed look later. Its a translation of a quite
old paper (1918), which seems early in the overall "debating" that had gone
on for decades (or whatever). I did skim over it once, but need to just read
slowly once and get the gist. I think I'll look at that Einstein book (maybe
it is a reprint of much earlier work, and less worth it to me because of that),
but I'd wish more for a fairly good, recent overview _review_ paper or
chapter that covers the scrutiny that E/R got over all the decades,
including the experimental work and experiment design.
