From: jim.mauro@gmail.com on 18 Dec 2005 11:11 I've googled high-and-low, and even bought a CD off Ebay that contains tons of Toshiba laptop FRU and Service manuals. A service and/or FRU manual for the A45-S121 seems to be a very elusive beast. I have two of these laptops (wife and son each have one), and I'd like to be able to disassemble it - at least get most of the cover off. My previous experience in doing such things with laptops is they can be tricky, and it makes life a lot easier with a service manual. I'm not looking for a free-bee - I'll pay for the bloody thing, but iced cupcakes to anyone who can point me to a service manual for the a45-s121. Thanks, /jim

From: jim.mauro@gmail.com on 18 Dec 2005 12:45 Thanks very much Tony - I'm having a look. What's interesting is this follows with my experience in searching for an A45 manual - notice the A45 is conspicuously absent from the list. This has been the case with pretty much every hit I get on google when searching for toshiba satellite service manuals. You can find pretty much every model, EXCEPT the A45. Is it a conspiracy? :^) Thanks, /jim

My Toughbook has one last screw under the exact center of the label. The rest are obvious. None of those goofy spring clips that break on other laptops. That does not mean yours is the same, though.
