Exchange 2003 sp2 backend
Outlook 2007 client

Trying to send email from an application using Outlook 2007 and getting
prompt for program trying to access email.

From reading understand that for Outlook 2003 security had to be changed on
the backend public folder to trust the app, but for Outlook 2007 it's stored
in AD. Took a look at the 2007 Office Recource kit on what settings needed to
be changed to manage trusted add-ins for Outlook 2007 and made the changes.

With a Exchange 2003 backend do I still need to make the changes for Outlook
security on the Exchange public folder?

Application requires Office 2007 so assumed making the AD change would get
rid of their problem but they are still getting prompt on sending email.

Is there any Anti-Virus software installed on the machines running
OL2007? IIRc, that's all OL2007 needs.

Read this:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb206767.aspx

Then visit Outlook's "Trust Center" and modify accordingly.
