I tried this and it doesn't seem to work. The Flash I am trying to
kill off is the pop-ups when scroll over underlined words in Yahoo.
Right clicking on the pop-p stuff says it is Flash. Am I even using the
right thing.
Never being one to do things easily, I noted that I have SIMBL in
two places. MacHD->library->ApplicationsSupport->SIMBL and
MacHD->library->InputManager-SIMBL. (there are two separate dates on the
files, AppSup being 9-26-07 and InputMgr being 6-10 of this year.
I put it in App Support per above. I also tried IMgr to no luck.
I also noticed that MacHD->myuserfolder->library has both input
manager and app support Without SIMBL. Should I copy SIMBL to one or
both of these and try it agaiN?

That sounds like IntelliTXT, which is something Safari AdBlocker blocks
quite easily! So go ahead and add this to your "things I could do if I
upgraded Mac OS X" list. ; ) Since you can't run that, you could simply
add these entries to your /etc/hosts file instead:

127.0.0.1 intellitxt.com
127.0.0.1 vibrantmedia.com

Point taken. But then I have to address HOW best to do the upgrade
which is confusing and intimidating and probably the main reason I
ignore them (g).

Finder can't find a /etc/hosts. Where should I look.
Also right clicking on the Flash indicates l.ylmg.com (might be
yimg.com.. eyes aren't what they used to be). Is this the culprit in
this case?

Use the Go -> Go to Folder... command and type "/etc" without the quotes. The
hosts file should be in that folder. (The /etc folder is hidden in Finder
because most folk never need to touch its contents directly.)

Says Read only and won't let me save.
BTW

127.0.0.1 localhost
255.255.255.255 broadcasthost
::1 localhost

Do I put these in after or before the ::1 Localhost command?
