For more information, go to the Microsoft website. https://om2.one.microsoft.com/opa/Validation.aspx?StoreID=ce6e3afc-6b25-4f99-8913-3e3453ad966d&LocaleCode=en-us> -=- "b11_" wrote: > Trying to install Wxp SP3 for _one_ computer but I can not use windows update > because the computer never had a modem. I'm finding the concept a little hard to follow, but it looks like you use APUP to load up a set of updates, and then use the autopatcher executable on the target system, to selectively apply the updates. I'm not even sure what you're supposed to download from the author's web site. In any case, the actual updates will be downloaded from Microsoft, for the ones that apply to the OS itself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autopatcher You would apply your downloaded copy of SP3 first, and then use Autopatcher after that. The link Daave gave you, to the network install version of SP3, gives you your SP3 base to work from. The autopatcher for WinXP, applies on top of SP3. Perhaps someone with Autopatcher experience could comment. I don't know anything about it, other than that it exists. Paul
