Two Source Radiation Contour Issue

From: Sean McCallum on 2 Jun 2010 04:52 Hi All, I am trying to plot a radiation contour but with two sources of radiation using matlab. I have two hydrocarbon release flares and they each have their own radiation contours described by some high order polynomial which relates the radiation intensity as a function of horizontal distance from the flare base The radiation intensity decreases as the distance from the base of each flare increases. Both flares are elevated (same height) but separated by some distance. I am just wondering how to do such a task using matlab. I did a matlab based unit in 2nd year of university but now I am in my 4th year and since I have rarely used matlab and I am bit lost of how to go about this task. This is for my final year design project of a gas processing plant. Any help are greatly appreciated. Sean
