Well the "Cancel" works between ES users, but I try to refrain from using u.r.a...

Funny thing is, on Thursday I fished out a 2200 and a 2300 as I thought they would
interest a friend of mine who has just got a Foundation ticket.
Either the band was totally dead, or both sets are faulty, I will have to try again sometime.

Is 25khz FM still welcome anywhere on 2m?

I had a 2200GX which i bought cheap it'd been reverse polarised, fortunately
only blew the audio amp chip, got rid of it after i fixed it, couldn't stand
the limitations of 12Ch, always convinced i was missing activity on another
frequency.

The power cable that I removed from the charger that came with the 2200
had the following wire colour assignments.
Red common.
Black +ve 12v supply.
White +ve battery charge.

Fortunately, I never take these things for granted, and I checked.
My friend, left to his own devices would have fried the thing for sure
