I prefer ZIP because I download the software to a flash drive that I
keep on me at all time. When I want to use it elsewhere I can unzip it
without installing software for 7z (or use Portable 7-Zip).

not updated jet, but will be ready ASAP.

If You want to update by Yourself, You need only to copy the new
"ZIPPED" version inside the "BIN" folder. Then, running the X-launcher,
you will save all user preferences in the local "user" folder.

Seems to be the case with a lot of these so-called "portable" apps...

Yes! U are right. 100% right!!
A lot of "so called" portable software is not portable at all!

winPenPack team try to avoid as much as possible this behaviour with
the "X" versions.
The test team is hardly working each time there is a new release of
programs we maed portable
