From: Swampfox on 24 Dec 2006 15:32 First of all, Merry Christmas to all. In the last week or two I've been getting periodic blue screens showing a USB Bug Code error, sometimes when the PC isn't being used at all other than downloading some bittorent stuff. The only USB device I have connected permanently is a mouse. Is this likely to be a fault with the mouse, the USB drivers or a physical fault with the USB port voltage or something? Anyone have any experience with this? The only clue I can find with Google is to get a powered hub but I've been using this setup for two or three years without problems so I can't see that being a solution. Any ideas?

I can't remember the exact syntax of the error David, but it goes something like you say, except that it specifically mentions "USB Bug Code". It has nothing to do with any flash drive, camera, scanner etc. I use all those but the error occurs independantly of them, even when I haven't used any of those devices for a week or so, and then at seemingly random times. I can't relate it to any specific event or program. It seems to happen out of the blue, and for no apparent reason.
