Well as stated before you can't find it in the path. But when you bootstrap the device just add the following to your bootstrap message:

<parm name="USEHWDEVID"/>

Then the IMEI will be included in each message from the client just as other devices.

Please refer to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb737637.aspx for further details.

It's not possible to use an OMA DM Get command to get the device's IMEI.

You will need to work with your OEM to configure a device to return the IMEI
instead of the GUID.

Query IMEI via OMA DM
hi,

Is it possible to query a WM terminal for its IMEI via a OMA DM get
command?
If possible, then please write the path to the IMEI in the DM
MgmtTree.

Is it possible to configure a WM terminal so that it returns its IMEI
(eg. 356219000795191) instead of its GUID (eg.
urn:uuid:F1AADF85-626B-5F97-8DEC-8C6C2A424B24)

sorry for writing to both pocketpc and smartphone newsgroup, but since
my question is about both platforms.
Does anyone know of a common newsgroup handling questions for both
platforms?

best regards
