From: arbeiter54901 on 11 Feb 2005 14:09 I am having problems with an exchange 2000 server on a win2003 server... I have some messages that hang in the SMTP Connector queue. An error message is displayed that it can not bind to the destination server in dns. I can do a nslookup and see all the servers in the DNS. I tried temporarily removing the Secure cache against pollution option in DNS and this was not effective. There are no DNS servers listed in the exchange servers Default Virtual SMTP Server. I tried adding the exchange servers and this was not effective either. I also am not seing any events in the event logs, but I am not sure I am monitoring all that should be monitored in exchange. I can telnet with port 25 to the destination server also. I am not sure what is causing the mail to hang in the queues. Does anyone have any ideas?
From: Ben Winzenz [Exchange MVP] on 11 Feb 2005 14:59 Well, Exchange 2000 is not supported running on a Windows 2003 server, so I'd suspect you need to fix that first. There is no telling what odditiies can be caused by running such a configuration. -- Ben Winzenz Exchange MVP <arbeiter54901(a)yahoo.com> wrote in message news:1108148943.304860.14770(a)l41g2000cwc.googlegroups.com... >I am having problems with an exchange 2000 server on a win2003 > server... > > I have some messages that hang in the SMTP Connector queue.
