From: Drew Boillot on 30 Nov 2009 10:05 Hello, Last week I started having an issue connecting to a 2008 server's mapped drive. When ever I try to connect, it keeps prompting me for a user name and password, I put in what I know to be the correct ones (I even deleted and recreated my user on the 2008 server) and still no luck. Users that can connect on other PCs cannot connect on mine. I've checked Event viewer and there's no errors, or warnings listed.. I know that's not a lot to go off of, so let me know what other information you need... Oh and im running Vista Bus. 32bit. TIA Drew (cross posted to microsoft.public.windows.server.general, microsoft.public.windows.vista.general )

Are you trying to conenct to the admin shares (such as C$, admin$, etc)? Is there another open session to the server, such as another mapped drive or in another terminal session (if remote desktop is enabled)? -- Ace This posting is provided "AS-IS" with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights. From: Drew Boillot on 30 Nov 2009 11:27 I found my problem... combination of someone (read my boss *cough*) adding an IP address to the server that was the same scheme that is in use on a VPN I connect to and me being being the only one who connects to the VPN "Drew Boillot" <drew(a)gocmcs.com> wrote in message news:eRelh6ccKHA.1640(a)TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Hello, Last week I started having an issue connecting to a 2008 server's > mapped drive.
