From: David Pritty on 26 Feb 2010 17:52 When I try to down load Software or Hardware updates in either Windows Update or Microsoft Update I just get a smaller 'Welcome to Microsoft Update' window appearing where the list of updtaes should, asking me to choose either Express or Custom. Any ideas, I have upgraded to IE8 and have done a XP repair after Ghosting my C drive to a new computer.

The system should only be hitting one site, either WU or MU. If it's hitting both sites, then something is seriously amiss. How to perform a repair installation of Windows XP if a later version of Internet Explorer is installed http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917964/ MowGreen ================ *-343-* FDNY Never Forgotten ================ banthecheck.com "Security updates should *never* have *non-security content* prechecked
