Hi everyone,

I'm a new technet subscriber and I'm setting up a variety of MS software in
order to get better familiarized with them. I have installed Exchange 2010
and I am using Windows 7 clients with Outlook 2010. Exchange and AD services
are all located on a single server. I know this is not recommended but this
is a small home based network.

I have forwarded ports 25 and 110 on my router to the server. I am able to
recieve test E-mails sent from hotmail however I am not able to send anything
at all to any address. I suspect that this is because I do not have a static
IP. (Receiving of E-mails is made possible by using DYNDNS for resolution of
my dynamic IP).

While I suspect I know why the E-mails I'm sending are not being received is
there a way to prove my suspicions? Also, is there a way around this other
than paying for a static IP?

Many thanks.

Did you create a send connector after you installed it?

Lee.

Use your ISP's EMTP server as a relay. Of course, they may not let you
do that unless you user their domain name in the MAIL FROM command and
"From:" headers.
