I want SOME way to mark threads.

This program is great in every other way (aside from weak filtering). I
want to use it. I love the smooth interface. I don't care about
binaries, but it's nice to know Unison can seem to handle it well. I
prefer BT Airlines using Transmission for that kind of thing anyway.

There's just ONE thing missing for me. I want to be able to mark or tag
interesting threads. Is that so much to ask for?

Unison would be my main newsreader if it could just MARK posts.

The Rules are not an acceptable workaround. The GUI doesn't give an easy
way to create new Rules from existing posts or threads. Even if it
could, who wants a gazillion rules for all the marked subjects and posters.

So pleeeeeaaase Panic Inc. Give me some way to mark threads and posts.
In the meantime my main newsreader is going to be Thunderbird. It's bit
clunky but it has my features and can watch/tag posts.

P.S.
Please don't give me the usual suggestions to use MT-NW, Hogwatcher or
MacSoup. Their interfaces are outdated and mostly multi-windowed. I
prefer a single 3-pane window. My favourite Windows newsreader was
Gravity. Now THAT was a newsreader.

Have you let Panic know yet? I know they don't seem very responsive, but
I bet if more people told them what they wanted they'd prioritize it.

Don't hold your breath.

Send responses to the relevant news group rather than email to me.
E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my very hungry SPAM
filter. Due to Google's refusal to prevent spammers from posting
messages through their servers, I often ignore posts from Google
Groups. Use a real news client if you want me to see your posts.

It depends on how many people pay their shareware fees.

Well I just received a comprehensive reply from Unison regarding my
recent submissions of bug reports and feature requests. In the reply I
was thanked for the submissions and it was stated that these are items
that will be addressed in a forthcoming release.
