From: Chick Tower on 17 Feb 2010 00:23 Someone posted here a link to KDE 3.5.10 compiled for Slackware 13.0. I've looked at three different sites, and they all have what looks to be a 64-bit file in with the 32-bit files. It's the file kdelibs3-3.5.10-x86_64-opt2.txz, and you can see it here: ftp://ftp.cerias.purdue.edu/pub/os/slackware/unsupported/kde-3.5.10-for-slack13.0/packages/i486/ Is this just a typo in the filename, or is it a mistakenly-included file? Thanks for any information you can provide. -- Chick Tower For e-mail: aols2 DOT sent DOT towerboy AT xoxy DOT net

Thanks for any information you can provide. It is a type in the filename, I've tested the package and both binaries as well as .so libraries _are_ 32-bit, i.e: bin/dcop: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.6.18, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), stripped lib/libkdeinit_klauncher.so: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, stripped (just two examples out of that "x86_64" package). -- ******************************************************************* ** Eef Hartman, Delft University of Technology, dept. It hadn't occurred to me that the file command might show me what I wanted to know. -- Chick Tower For e-mail: aols2 DOT sent DOT towerboy AT xoxy DOT net

I also mailed Pat about this naming error so he may correct it on the ftp-server. -- ******************************************************************* ** Eef Hartman, Delft University of Technology, dept.
