From: dwfain on 22 Oct 2006 21:46 I am upgrading my SBS 2000 to SBS 2003 R2 and received the following error during the Exchange upgrade. I checked the KB and found 888942 but that did not fix it. The error is: Setup.exe – Unable to Locate Component This application has failed to start because mssadmws.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. Any ideas?
From: Steve on 22 Oct 2006 23:31 While technically feasible to do an upgrade you're always skating on thin ice unless your original SBS 2000 is in pristine condition. A migration (the swing type is highly recommended) is usually better to avoid such potential problems if your SBS 2000 may have had "hidden" problems.
