I don't think so. Just that I'm cack handed in 10.6.

I mean... I presume that the bundled mouse with the iMac. *Is* a magic
mouse isn't it? In the bluetooth devices it says:

Peter Ceresole's Mouse
Address: d8-30-62-39-91-b3
Type: Mouse
Firmware Version: 0x84
Services: Apple Wireless Mouse

Not terribly helpful...

My logitech has side scroll too. Works really well, apart from the risk
to other mice of breaking the scroll wheels!

Why? Apple have never been good at mice

No, just the scroll wheel bends sideways as well. It's not as good as
the mm pea when the pea is working well, but it is a lot more consistent

My somewhat older 3.06 GHz Core2Duo iMac is about as fast as my old
2.5GHz 4G5 - faster on some things, slower on others, less snappy UI.

I wonder if the current iMacs are at least as snappy as my old 4G5?

Rowland.

As a suggestion, you could try the MagicPrefs application that lets you
make some changes to how the Magic Mouse acts.

It can be found here: http://magicprefs.com/
