I suffer all those problems, and worry about all those things. I take enough medicine to stock a very small Pharmacy. I'm eat up with Arthritis, and require the of a CPAP breathing machine at night. Your fortunate you have Military Health insurance. You don't have to depend on SS. I get several Hundred dollars less than I was making in 1994 the last I worked I am on disability. Actually the VA here in Houston is quite a fine facility with very competent staff. Guess it depends on location.

I took my dad a WWII Veteran to it at lest 4 times a Year. for check up so he could get his medications and eye drops. No there still isn't any closer for my section on Virginia. In fact many people that use the Va in Salem actually come from West Virginia and Tennessee and far southwestern Va. So far as I've heard there are only Four VA's for the entire Commonwealth of VA. There is one in The Tidewater that serves all of south eastern portion, Richmond has one and then then natural there is the Va around DC. Because of such a wide area of Service that Salem services its actually the busiest of all of them. And its the oldest one. some buildings on the grounds are Push close to 100 years old. -- Phillip M. Jones, C.E.T.
