From: ed on 1 May 2010 09:41 Hi all, windows 2003/exchange 2003 Sp2 Due to log space that is almost full, I use the eseutil /mk to check the checkpoint and moved some log files that are safe to move. Now, the log files are not trucated when we do a full backup. How should I fix this problem? Thank you.

From: oz casey, Dedeal on 5 May 2010 00:34 Are you saying all works fine but you can no longer flush the logs after successful backup? Just enable Circular login to free up space , get rid of from all logs, Stop Circular logging and do full backup. If your backup program is not flushing the logs try NTbackup to see what happens? ocd "ed" <ed(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3ADCC65B-61E9-4791-A702-4E8B44D9C314(a)microsoft.com... > Hi all, > > windows 2003/exchange 2003 Sp2 > > Due to log space that is almost full, I use the eseutil /mk to check the > checkpoint and moved some log files that are safe to move. From: ed on 6 May 2010 10:04 thanks for your help. > Are you saying all works fine but you can no longer flush the logs after > successful backup? Yes. all fine except logs are not trucated. I already moved all old logs that I moved before to the log folder. Still, no luck. BTW, If I enalbe circular logging, I need to restart information store service. How long will it take to flush the old logs? We do a full bacup everyday and probably we need a circular logging enabled, right? Thank you.
