Just check with you to see if you need further assistance on this issue.

I would like to make a summary here to see if we omit something.
ISSUE
===========================================================
The error "The parameter is incorrect [0x80070057]" occurred when you
started your Analysis Service with NETWORK SERVICE account.
All Network configuration protocols are enabled.
Local and Remote connections are selected in Analysis Services Remote
connections in Surface Area Configuration.

MORE INFORMATION
===========================================================
1. The error occurred after AS had been set up.
2. You could connect to AS (running with Local System account) from SSMS
and ran BI applications in AS.
3. SQL SERVER 2005 SP1 was not installed.
4. The computer was in a domain environment.

SUGGESTED RESOLUTION
===========================================================
1. Install SQL Server 2005 SP1.
2. Add NETWORK SERVICE account to your administrators group or just use
Local System account, since the NETWORK SERVICE account has very limited
permission.
