The IBM Fortran IV compilers didn't have it. I believe I knew it in the DEC Fortran IV compilers, but it wasn't until 1976 that I used them, so getting close to Fortran 77 time. (Specifically, Fortran-10 in about 1976.) I usually didn't use it, though. -- glen |
