I downloaded it and tried it out...

1) disk has no DOS. you must boot prodos from another disk
2) after prodos is booted, you need to change the prefix to /java,
so at the ] command prompt, type:
]prefix /java
3) -java.system shows the readme.txt file. a spinning cursor in the
lower right corner indicates the VM is doing something in the
background? then on the bottom of the screen in inverse it says
"press esc to exit, arrows to scroll". the spinning cursor is gone.
escape key does nothing, arrows do nothing.


I am using applewin 1.18, mouse card enabled. Enhanced //e mode.
Prodos 2.0.3 from the prodos system disk 4.0.2

I downloaded the SHK from :

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/vm02/vm02/vm02-rel1/vm02.rel1.shk?use_mirror=superb-sea2

and converted to a 5mb .PO hard disk image.

Am I doing something wrong?

It isn't a bootable image. If you want it bootable you will need
ProDOS. I just unarchive it to an existing hard drive. Are you using
CiderPress?
