I wrote the vast bulk of that vast bulk of verbiage. "Snipe" simply
commented on it, and was caught up in the reply autoquotes. I fully
accept my cosmic responsibility for my actions, and hope I don't go to
hell, although everything I've heard or read about heaven makes it
sound pretty boring.

Been listening to the wrong people.
But that's a matter for a different newsgroup.

In any formula, constants (especially those obtained
from handbooks) are to be treated as variables.

Oh, everyone knows that it's John Wolf who puts in all the time and
effort telling us how he's too busy to put in the time and effort to do
things that would take less time and effort than telling us all about it
would in the first place.

He also thinks everyone who doesn't share his opinions on religion are
going to hell anyway, and if heaven is filled with people like him, I'd
choose hell over that anyway.

Ah, I see. No, I would use the adjective "sloppy"
Sorry

I've noticed lately that the paranoid fear of computers becoming
intelligent and taking over the world has almost entirely disappeared
from the common culture. Near as I can tell, this coincides with
the release of MS-DOS.
