From: Marcus on 2 Mar 2010 17:21 Hi, Im running VPS 2007 and have setup a 2003 server pc on it im trying to connect it to the school server so as to login remotely through my laptop. But after i created the serevr 2003 through vpc machine wizard it couldnt connect, it would come up loading client mac addr: then DHCP..... then would say no dhcp or proxy dhcp servers available then reboot and select proper boot device. Any idea how to make it work and allow me to connect to server?

All you do is create the proper virtual machine for the selected operating system to work in. The next step is to supply installation media (DVD or ISO image of the DVD) and install the operating system into the virtual PC you have created. The Wizard is similar to a guide telling you which motherboard and RAM and hard disk size to buy when you build your own PC in order to run a particular operating system. You also need to *buy* the operating system unless you try installing Linux (free). But going to Linux is an uphill battle in any Microsoft virtualization product, whereas it is a breeze in VMWare.... -- Bo Berglund (Sweden)
