From: ps56k on 18 Nov 2009 18:09 I have two regualr mutual fund accounts with Vanguard; acct 123 - has handful of funds - single owner acct 456 - has handful of funds (different) - joint ownership I am going to change ownership of the single (123) acct and migrate it to the joint ownership acct. My question is with respect to Q2009..... What can I do to retain all the old history of the 123 acct transactions after we migrate it to the new 456 acct number ? If I edit the acct number to match the joint acct, what will quicken do ? If the accts get migrated in Vanguard, and I do a download, will the new ones pop up and ASK me if I want to migrate my history to the new acct ? Just not sure what actions can be tried, or will be triggered by the download after the migration. -- ---------------------------------- "If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something." - Steven Wright

I would advise against changing the account number. If you are using Quicken Direct Connect, Vanguard will take care of things for you with the next account activity update. One word of caution - presently Vanguard is working on a problem with direct connect updates. They have promised to me an email when it gets fixed. It's been broken for about three or four days.
