From: arealbasketcase on 23 Mar 2010 18:30 I've been known to use tables and/or columns to create the effect of a vertical font. If you make the column narrow enough and get the margins right if will move all the text into a vertical line. It is far from foolproof though, some letters, i.e. l, are narrower than others and so frustrate this work around. I am sure someone will be along soon with a much cleverer answer. Good luck. From: Jack B on 23 Mar 2010 20:51 The only way I know is nothing automatic. This method will, however, center all letters exactly in the middle. What you do is create a text box and type your letters with a manual line break after each letter, then highlight all and choose Center Alignment. All letters will be exactly centered. If you put the text into a table or a text box, you can change the orientation to vertical. If you don't want it to appear that it's in a box or table, simply turn off the borders. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word Bible Blog: http://word.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "Jonka" <Jonka(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:84DB757A-5121-408A-9E4D-7CA97FD15E5B(a)microsoft.com... > Can a line of font be turned from horizontal to vertical. |
