I prefer Md5Checker, <http://getmd5checker.com/>, which is free and has a nice Windows interface. I've just tested FastSum and Md5Checker against an image of Ubuntu 10.04. Both took 17 seconds, although I had to time Md5Checker manually. Having said that, unlike Md5Checker, FastSum is a proper command line utility which is useful and makes it a keeper. :) C:\Users\Martin\Desktop\test.iso C2C20D136031D650CCBD4B20F083B5EE Calculation summary: Processed 1 files in 0 folders with total size 699.19 Mb. Although the name of the program seems to indicate that it's no longer under development, the home page is dated this year and there is a 64 bit version of the program there. I like being able to right click on a file and select the option to check a hash file from the dropdown menu. -- John Corliss BS206.
