Here goes. Different broadcast IPs do not really help, which is
understandable since I do not use broadcasting. I tried 65.182.171.175,
65.182.171.165, etc for bcast IP, to no avail.

NEW SERVER, with IP enabled (old server had is disabled prior to
enabling on new server). See entry for eth1:3

The problem was with the Netgear gigabit switch that did not recognize
the IP transfer. Powercycling it made everything work. Thanks to all for
your help.
