The Quadro range is nVidia's range of cards aimed at the desktop CAD market. As opposed to their GeForce range, which is aimed at the game market. The Quadro concentrates on rendering accuracy, while the GeForce more on speed and frame rate (while intelligently sacrificing some rendering to achieve the speed). They're interchangable, but you'll lose out on certain things if you pick the less ideal range depending on what you're doing. Relatively speaking the P150 is rather dated now, and relatively sluggish. But that's like saying the 486 is rather dated compared to what you can buy now. If it's going into an old machine, then I suppose it won't matter.
