I download lots of video clips in .flv format and would like to convert them
for my mobile phone viewing. My mobile phone is 400 x 240 resolution. Can
someone suggest any suitable video format converter for Mac 10.6.3.

Thanks,

Scott

Quicktime 7, the "pro" version will export for the iPhone, as .3gp (or
the iPod as .m4v). What "format" are you looking for?

You'll need Perian to open the .flv files in QT 7.

If you like cli stuff, ffmpeg will do most things for you. VLC claims to
do transcoding, but I've never been able to get anything out of it, even
though it's based on ffmpeg.

Depending upon your desired destination format, I would recommend
either ffmpegX or HandBrake.

What file format is the target file intended to be?

Handbrake is great and easy to use.
