Has anyone ever seen it?

I do not think that Einstein would agree with this form of fake light.

No reason that virtual is not as real as real. Nature uses both
equally. Think about it TreBer

'Virtual' is a label placed on unknown and not understood physical
processes in nature. For example, the Casimir Effect.

"When this field is instead studied using quantum electrodynamics, it
is seen that the plates do affect the virtual photons which constitute
the field, and generate a net force[2]—either an attraction or a
repulsion depending on the specific arrangement of the two plates.
Although the Casimir effect can be expressed in terms of virtual
particles interacting with the objects, it is best described and more
easily calculated in terms of the zero-point energy of a quantized
field in the intervening space between the objects." - Wikipedia

What is physically occurring in nature is the aether displaced by the
plates extends past the other plate. The aether is not at rest when
displaced and applies pressure towards the plates doing the
displacing. The pressure associated with the aether displaced by the
plates which exists outside of the plates causes the plates to be
pushed together.
