Does anyone know how to properly configure VS2005 to compile RealTimeWorkshop source code?

I keep getting an error
xxxxxx.cpp(169732) : warning C4101: 'i' : unreferenced local variable
when I am trying to compile with Rsim from within matlab.

I wanted to attempt to compile in VS to have more control, but i'm not sure what libraries I need to include from the MATLAB directory.
