This PAYG dongle has no expiry date on unused credit which is ideal for the
uasage I will make of it but his deal was discontinued by Vodafone direct at
around Xmas. Argos still have some in stock according to their website, do
you think it will still work on the no expiry basis once it is activated.

Woundln't want to get it, activate it and then find out it expires after a
month

Well, the Argos site says "Please note that this product, once activated,
will be excluded from our 30 Day Money Back Guarantee. This does not affect
your statutory rights."

So you can't just change your mind, *but* if it *does* expire after 30 days
despite the description saying "The only pay as you surf mobile broadband
with no 30-day expiry", you'd have a pretty good claim under your statutory
rights. If in doubt, consult your local Trading Standards department before
you buy.

I would be very careful here - I think the main problem is that you are
buying the dongle from Argos, but then have to buy a top-up from Vodafone.
And it's of course the top-up that will expire (and not the dongle).

If there is any top-up included with the dongle (not sure if there is), then
I would expect that to not expire after 30 days, but I would guess that any
additional top-up you will then have to buy from Vodafone will expire after
30 days. (Vodafone probably won't be too impressed by your Argos dongle and
Argos probably won't care too much about a top-up bought from Vodafone).
