From: Aris on 10 May 2008 23:35 Hello lads, Well, the classic one. Suddenly, I can't share my folder through Windows Live Messenger. I get the following error when I press the "Sharing Folders" button. Error: "Your sharing folders aren't yet available. Please try again in a minute." Suddenly, I checked the usnsv.exe (service) which is MUST for the sharing scenario of WLM, but it stopped running at task manager. Trying to start it manually from services manager was a NO NO, I can't! Another error! Well, what is going on? Any ideas? :-) Huge problem! Aris,

From: Aris on 11 May 2008 05:54 Well, I do not have so much experience with Event Viewer to be honest, but when I am starting it via start > cmd > eventvwr.msc I can see a red cross over "Security" in the list. Btw, how can I check the event viewer concering the logs of my service? :-) Best regards, Aris "Jonathan Kay [MVP]" wrote: > Greetings Aris, > > Anything in the Event Viewer when you tried to start it via the service? > > -- > Jonathan Kay > Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger > MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger > MessengerGeek Blog: http://www.messengergeek.com > Messenger Resources: http://messenger.jonathankay.com > (c) 2008 Jonathan Kay - If redistributing, you must include this signature or citation > -- > > > "Aris" <Aris(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:FE5C5760-53AE-4287-BAA8-093C470677C5(a)microsoft.com... > > Hello lads, > > > > Well, the classic one. From: mynetx [Messenger Plus!] on 15 May 2008 05:39 Hello Aris, try opening the Event Viewer as you said, eventvwr.msc. Then, in the left column, click the "System" entry. You will find tons of entries. Sort them by date descending. Now start the Service from services.msc, then refresh the event viewer list. Look for entries with "Service Control Manager". Doubleclick any interesting one to read its detailed description. Well, by clicking in the "System" entry I get an error "unknown enviroment" or sth plus I have NO entries in the system entry. Nothing. Maybe a problem? Don't know, any ideas? :-) Aris, "mynetx [Messenger Plus!]" wrote: > Hello Aris, > > try opening the Event Viewer as you said, eventvwr.msc. Then, in the left > column, click the "System" entry.
