From: Derek Bowshaw on 3 May 2010 18:28 Can the battery warning at 20 percent be lowered to 10 percent? (Dell Axim x50v) I have an high capacity battery and find the warning and flashing light at 20 percent to be far too early. Can it be delayed? Thanks Derek

However, you can completely disable it (at least the most irritating feedback) as is explained at http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/17299-21-h6315-where- battery-warning-threshold-stored . To do this, first, apply the registry hack explained at http://forum.brighthand.com/ipaq-h3600-h3900- series/140828-registry-hack-turn-off-low-battery-warning-etal.html (alternative: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php? s=dfa87abb83e9563b5337f10957cccb71&p=914561&postcount=4 ). The hack is also contained in Tweaks2k2. After that, under Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications, you'll be able to disable Low Battery Warning Event. 2, if you still want to use be notified of battery events, you may want to use Batti - see http://pda.jasnapaka.com/batti/releases/2.1.php . An user report is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php? s=dfa87abb83e9563b5337f10957cccb71&p=914561&postcount=4

Although I now have an option in 'Sounds and Notifications) to turn off the battery warning, the Dell Axim is ingoring this, even though I have told it to not flash the light and play a sound. It seems the setting is not having any effect. I used Tweaks2k2 to do this. Regards Derek

dunno - the guys at http://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/ipaq-hx47xx- series/264810-there-way-disable-backup-battery-warning.html state it works on their WM2003SE iPAQ hx4700. I'll try the hack with the x51v + WM6 combo to see whether it works on it. If it does, then, you might want to consider upgrading to WM6 too so that you can also apply the hack (and also gain compatibility with current apps). I've just posted some links in a post on the currently available / maintained WM6 versions for the x50v.
